DVD-RW need help why wont they work ??

Question

i was going on holiday to new york so i went and bought some DVD-RW when i was recording i formatted them before to VCR now when i put them on my laptop it says blank cd and i cant put them in the dvd player because it says error why is this i want to see the video and the pictures on the dvd-rw put i can only see them on the camcorder please can some one help me asap i will give you 5 stars good feedback and best anwer who ever can figure it out ??

Hmm i'm not sure what the problem could be. But however i can think of an alternative approach. Would if it be possible for you to hook up your camcorder to your pc? The new hard drive should be detected by your pc and u should be able to open the folders in your dvd-rw (through your camcorder). Its worth a shot if all else fails.

Don't worry at all, because the answer is som simple. All you have to do is to put back the DVD in the device you recorded the photos and videos before and finalize them. I don't which one do you have but I have the same problem with my Sony camera and finaly learned that I have to go to options and select "Finalize DVD" before playing it my laptop.

You will have to finalize that dvd-rw in your camcorder so that you can play it in your computer or dvd player.

yeah I had that problem and it was just that the DVD was not finalized.  It only seems to be a problem when you put the DVD in a different device.
