So I have a DVD recorder at the moment which a year on is already needing replaced. I wanted to get a DVD recorder with a HDD that is able to record a channel and watch another at the same time for no more than £200. Anyone got any recommendations?

Only one I can find that does this is - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5335794/Trail/searchtext%3EDVD+RECORDER.htm

Which looks old and ugly.

FYI - I won't be buying online so Ebay isn't a choice. I have to buy it in store.

  2. I have a Funai 250GB HDD recorder that I bought via Ebay for about £150.it's really user friendly & does what you want. It was delivered in 2 Days by Royal Mail . If you don't want to use Ebay then do a search for Funai & they should be able to tell you where your nearest stockist is. Good Luck.

  3. if you have cable TV you need to slipt the signal, you need a second tuenr to watch and record, also if you TV is not hdd and you fdo not plan to by a HDD TV why recor in HDD a standard TVwill not play back in HD quality
