DVD help?!?

I have a samsung digitall home theater dvd player but it is very sensitive to scratches and freezes occasionally and sometimes won't play at all! is there a way to fix this?

  1. If your disk's are actually scratched, their is nothing you can do. No player can fix what is broken.

    Most likely they just need to be cleaned.

    Get a " Wet " cleaner for your DVD's and for the DVD  player.

  2. There are cleaning kits for the player itself, although I have nothing to report as to how good they are. Check your disks carefully, they shouldn't be scratched up. If  they are they very well might not play in your - or anyone's machine. Invest in a good disc resurfacing machine, there are several good ones on the market.

    If your disks are clean, and wont play in your machine, but will in other players,  and you have tried cleaning you player,  get your warranty information together and put in a service call now!  If out of service, I would probably start looking for a new player. It is unlikely to be worth paying for a repair.
