DVD player help.....?

We have a sony dvd player dvp ns5op.

It will not come up on the screen.

The dvd is in it...and it is playing...but not on the television screen.

What do we do to get it to display on the screen???

  1. the tv needs to be on an av channel is there a button on your tv's remote control that says av or tv/av if yes then press that.


  2. One reason why its not working might be because the dvd player cables are not all the way plugged in, or they are bad cables. Another reason might be your tv is not put on input.

  3. If you have it hooke up with a standard cable line (One wire between TV and DVD Player (Usually screws on at both ends) then you need to change it to channel 3 or 4, whichever the switch on the back of the dvd player is set to. (Also make sure it is connected to "Out" on the DVD player.

    If you have it connected with Component, Composite, or anything else, then cycle through the A/V inputs until you see your DVD. Or read on the back of the TV which plugs its plugged into (They're usually labeled)

    If your still having problems make sure that your cables are plugged in according to their color. Also make sure the cables on the DVD player are plugged into "Output" and their plugged into an "Input" on the TV.
