DVD player question?

okay we have a high-def tv and its hooked up to fios and all that stuff. so, the question is can we jut get a regular dvd player and will it work with this tv? or do we NEED a special dvd player with blu-ray or does it hav to be made by verizon or something like that? last of all about how much would the cheapest working dvd player cost? thx!

  2. yes any regular DVD player will work fine with a HDTV

    just use component cables to connect for the best quality(the green Orange and blue ones)

    but you can just use standard RCA cables if you want(red yellow white)

    i was really impressed with how good standard DVDs look on my HDTV

    you can get a DVD player for about 40 bucks now at any major electronics retailer

    BTW if you want to play blue-ray disks then you have to buy a blue ray player but those cost several hundred dollars and will come down in price so i would wait and just stick with your regular DVD player
