DVD player/recorder Have they done this yet?

I bought a dvd recorder from Radio Shack a few months ago not knowing that the only way I could record MOVIES was only if I had Cable, I took it back Now !! I keep seeing commercials and hear people talking Is there a dvd RECORDER out here/there anywhere, that I can record movies/ on directly to my reg. dvd PLAYER?

  1. A regular dvd player does NOT record; wal-mart has a vcr/dvd recorder for around $200; it's a magnavox.  You can put your vhs-tapes onto dvd's, but only if the tape doesn't have the Copy-Protect in it; most of the really good movies does have this, too;


  2. The best way to make a DVD to DVD copy is with a computer and DVD burner. Hardware recorders have copy protection on them and will refuse to copy from a regular DVD to a DVD recorder.

  3. You have to have the DVD player/recorder and another DVD that is a player and connect them.  Play the movie in the player and record on the other one.
