the unit is a VCR & DVD player by Panasonic---it will play normal for about 2-3 minits & then a clicking sound for about 1 minit ---next it will free up & a notice will appear on the screen " check for schrees"---we have used a laser lens cleaner by Philips with no emprovement---please advise
