DVD player won't regonise the burn't disc?

Question

I burn't a movie to a DVD disc (4.7GB) and try to play it through my NEC DVD HDD player but asking it wants to 'format the disc' and continue to loop, but I can play it on my other NEC DVD player no problem.

Any suggestions.
