DVD plays only in black and white?

Could you please help me?I sold a new RCA RTD120 Dolby Digital Home Theatre DVD MP3 CD on Ebay and the buyer told me he wasn't happy with it because the dvd player only plays in black and white?? I've never heard of a dvd player having that capability? Any help is appreciated!Thanks so much,Lori
