DVD question.......?

Every time they show The Lord of the Rings on tv, the picture is so much brighter and sharper than it is on my DVD. Why? Does this mean my DVD has something wrong with it?

Do you have your DVD player going though a video player this can cause an Anti-copy that would make it darker - sometimes the screen flashes as well

The other thing to do would be to try another DVD player with your TV and see if it's the same - if it's just dark on your current DVD player and ok with another player then I would say the problem lies with the player

Do other DVD's play and look right

Perhaps when they show it on television it is in HD.
