DVD-r Help?

Question

How can i record home movies or movies i downloaded form the internet onto dvd-r so that i can watch it on my dvd player. waht kind of software do i need and what exactly do i have to do?

You need a good software program like Nero and a DVD burner in your computer.

It is not as easy as 123, first the downloaded and the one you play on a dvd are two different formats.  Just because you record it on a dvd doesn't mean it will play on a dvd player.  You would need to buy a program to encode it to the proper format then a program to burn it to the disc, something like nero.  It is a process that would take more then just a simple answer.  Best bet is to copy it from an actual DVD using dvd shrink then burn it to a dvd-r using nero.  Good luck.
