DVD recommendations?

Calling the movie buffs out there...

I like slightly offbeat/surreal films or f***ed up comedies or even darker comic adaptations. The types of films that are often dubbed "cult" classics... Any recommendations on some new flicks I should pick up? All suggestions welcome!

SERENITY (2005)  if that isn't a cult classic, nothing is.  Based off of Firefly, fans got together and got it made, the movie I mean, you don't have to see the show to see the movie, it is a thriller/action movie...surreal...Joss Whedon genius behind it.  Most awesome movie ever.
