Well heres the thing. I want to make gameplay videos off my PSP. But to play games it has to be through TV out component and on Progressive scan.

I called about my DVDR and though it DOES have a component input, I was told it is NOT an HD-IN model and that is why my picture is screwed up.

Is there an adapter or converter I can get to downgrade my HD signal from component to something like S video or Composite in order to input into my DVDR? I've looked all over the net and can't seem to find what I'm looking for, maybe someone can help me out.

That's the only way unfotunately. Funny thing is, right after I downgrade it to make it IN the DVDR the recorder is just going to upscale to HD anyway. T_T What an annoying development. LOL

Thanks in advance.

  1. your picture is screwed up because of sonys copyright protection on games/videos.

you can buy a ... im not exactly sure what it is called, but they have them at www.mcmelectronics.com..  its a box with component video jacks that removes the copyright protection so you can record it.

i think it was around $35

  2. Try to get an SD output from the PSP directly and feed it to the DVD recorder. Then loop back that signal to the TV.
