  1. Using Windows Movie Maker, which comes in every standard Windows XP pack, put the DVD movie onto your PC or Laptop and then, using WIndows Movie Maker, your can make the slideshow/movie and also cut out the bits that you don't want on the DVD. Then burn what you have from Movie Maker onto a disk and it will work on the TV.

    hope this helps!

  2. Windows Movie Maker will only work for you if you've got Vista.  If you haven't, you can use DVDDecrypter to rip the DVDs to your PC, VirtualDub-MPEG2 to extract the clips you want and DVD Flick to author a DVD from the extracts.

  3. Rip the dvd to your computer by following instructions on any of the following websites listed in google http://www.google.com/search?client=fire...

. After you rip it to your computer, import it into a video editing program such as windows movie maker (which is free) and edit out the stuff you dont want and leave just the clips, (if you want it to look nice and blend from clip to clip, you can use transitions in windows movie maker, very easy to use, just look for the option) then "Publish it" from windows movie maker to a dvd as long as you have a dvd burner on your computer. Windows movie maker has an option you can click on that says "publish to dvd". Ive always used Nero to do this kind of stuff but Nero costs money and windows movie maker is free and can do 99% of the same stuff.
