Does anyone know if you can get something that can convert an HDMI output signal (from a PS3) into a non-HD DVI compatible signal?

  1. It would be better to tell us what you really want to do.

You have to understand that HDMI is usually YPbPr - although you can change the defaults in the PS3 to make it RGB - which is the ONLY way to send DVI.

If you want NO-HD DVI from your PS3

    a) Set the output to 480p max

    b) Change the output format to RGB (optional, the Ps3 will probably automatically switch when it sees a valid DVI sink)

    c) Use an HDMI-to-DVI cable

  2. Yes there is:

  3. You cant legally change a hd signal to an analogue signal as this would mean stripping away the encryption on the signal which is illegal. You can go the other way (analogue to hd) though.
