DVR Recordings NO sound?

i have a tdc779x pace hd dvr from NPG cable and some of the recordings have picture but no sound. how can i fix this?

  1. Since you said "some" I can only guess that your audio cables may be loose.  Check them first.

    Also, there might be a MTS or SAP setting on the DVR.  Look into the menu for that.  It might be looking for a second language.
