DVR off Ebay?

Question

Ok, if i buy a DVR recorder off ebay and hook up my cable through it and than to my tv, without any special plan from my cable provider, could i record what i want?

I think you would have to check with your cable company about this. The equipment should be compatible with their service. Just call them with a general question about it, then you can make an informed decision.
