I have a COX DVR what do I need to do to put what I recored to a VHS tape?

  1. Most devices have a Video OUT and a Video IN.  Start at the source and then just connect the outs to the ins.  

    One example...

    Wall coax cable to DVR IN

    DVR OUT to VCR IN

    VCR OUT to TV IN (if DVR has multiple outs you can also go dvr out to tv in)


  2. My antenna (coax cable) runs from the cable box to the dvr to my vhs/dvd-r to my tv.  Your dvr may or may not have copywirte protection built in, depending on how new it is.  If so, you may not be able to tape movies you've recorded from HBO and the like.
