  1. You can get paint pens at most art stores. I don't know where you live, but they sell them all over Los Angeles (where I live). You can get them online I'm sure at http://www.pearlpaint.com/shop~ocID~5999... or at http://www.dickblick.com/zz213/37/

They should work fine, but so does regular acrylic paint applied with a paintbrush. You can make your own stencils. Just print off a band logo on your home printer. Get some tracing paper and trace the logo onto a thick piece of paper or cardboard. Cut a stencil with an x-acto knife or other sharp knife and carefully paint over it onto your jacket. You could always just buy patches!

I would use a mix of pyramid and cone studs. Why not...

It sounds like you're trying to put together your first punk rock leather. The best advice I could give you would be to not over-think it. DIY is DIY for a reason--it's not supposed to take so much time and effort and planning. Just add things as you go along and don't worry if it's perfect. It will be perfect for you.

P.S. Learn to sew and sew on patches with dental floss. That's the way we do it.
