Da´quonde favourite to land Mirror Punters Club Fillies´ Handicap at Southwell
Mirror Punters Club Fillies´ Handicap looks an ideal opportunity for the progressive Da´quonde to make it four victories from her last six starts. The four-year-old is full of confidence following her three wins out of last
five races.
Hence, the bookies are not reluctant to give her the highest starting price for the 5-furlong event, taking place at Southwell on Tuesday, April 17th.
According to the plan, the class 5 meeting will be started at 14:40 GMT. It has attracted seven quality runners, who will pursue a cash prize of £2,264.
Their names are: Da´quonde, Imaginary Diva, Bobby´s Doll, La Capriosa, Gorgeous Goblin, Basle and Nine Before Ten.
Da´quonde did not perform well at the start of her career. In her first three appearances, she was below par. Despite a few lacklustre shows at the start of her career, Bryan Smart’s trainee did not lose her determination.
She came back strongly and displayed a few great performances this season. On April 09, Pivotal’s daughter made a fine effort to ensure the top place in the Market Cross Jewellers Fillies' Handicap at Redcar.
Since the filly is in great form these days, her opponents would find it difficult to control her skills. Among her opposition, Imaginary Diva looks the biggest threat.
Although the six-year-old was not impressive in her last two appearances, her wonderful track record is hard to overlook. Her latest triumph came on August 28, when she sealed a classy victory in the Try totequickpick On All
totepool Bets Fillies' Handicap at Yarmouth.
Another strong candidate is Bobby's Doll, trained by Terry Clement. The five-year-old performed consistently last year, registering two convincing victories. In mid August, the mare outsmarted her rivals in the Best Odds @ oddschecker.com
Handicap at Brighton.
Many of the participants have a few questions to answer. It would be a close contest, but our vote goes to Da´quonde. The filly is in great shape at the moment and has an obvious chance to steal the show.
No matter who grabs the top spot, it is going to be an entertaining competition. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
