DaVinci Code question?

Dan Brown is a good author who can make the fake stuff in that book seem real. I don't want to get any false ideas about the Catholic church or anything else, so could someone please post a link that explains what is true and what isn't in the DaVinci Code? Or you could just explain what you know isn't true. I'm going to start reading the book and I know it is a controversial book, but is good and I want to enjoy it right.

Hopefully this helps, if not, do a web search for something like

"Fact and Fiction of Dan Brown's The da Vinci Code"

  2. If you want to enjoy the book just read it. It's entertainment.

  3. most of the davince code is made up or some sort of mis info the whole plot actually is a major fib

but the movie is absolutely phenomanal and you should definately see it after you read the book

  4. Still cannot beat the best seller.

The six billion US dollars best seller.

    The X-files.

The missing x-files that was lost with time.

    Luke 19.9-10

    What do you think?

  5. Read it first, then ask your questions.

It will spoil the surprises if you learn about it before you read it.

  6. The storyline is the fake bit. (Robert Langdon, prof. in Harvard, all the characters are fake). What Sir Leigh Teabing says about the painting of the 12th Supper is all real. And everything around that bit too. I don't know about the cipher thingy though. (The one that has vinegar in it to dissolve the parchment if you bang it hard)

  8. I agree with previous poster Kaz and also just read the book purely for entertainment. I don't believe anything that the book alledges but I found the mystery part of it to be breathtaking. I loved it even though I could have easily been offended by the premise.

There is a book called Cracking DaVinci's Code which basically refutes all of the allegations as put forth in the book. Read if you need to but you may not.

  9. I have read pretty much all of Dan Brown's

Books and I think they are Awesome!! At first I was just like you. You are looking too deep into the whole DaVinci Conspiracy. You can’t believe everything Dan has written. It is true that DaVinci was part of most those organizational cults. It is true that the Catholic Church has a dark history of their uprising. But you have to do your own research on the masons, the Illuminati, The priory of scion, all those originations so you can make your own conclusion on what you think is real and what is not.
