Dab fm band when sold off?

what will happen to the FM band when sold off and everything gone digital?

Robert w hit the nail on the head, a lot say most of the lower half will be sold to mobile phone networks and o2 have their eyes on it, then the military and emergency services will take a chunk out of what is left

They will resell the FM band frequencies for use with mobile services - such as mobile phones, emergency frequencies and WIFI services. Some of the higher frequencies will be used for high  definition TV braodcast.

It will not be a case of going digital and then switching off FM or analogue TV - this needs to happen in tandem as there are insuffcient frequencies to cover all the demand.
