We recently got 2 kittens (they are almost 6 months now) and they are litter-box trained. We clean it regularly, so they have no reason to pee outside of it. The cats are indoor for now, until they get old enough to go outside on their own. Though, my dad seems to have this constant suspicion that the kittens are going to pee/p**p all over the house. He makes them stay in the computer room most of the time, where their litter box is. They aren't allowed in the living room, because they supposedly peed in there, maybe once. (For the record, it didn't smell like pee to me). They aren't even allowed on the front porch, where there is a crappy carpet, because they supposedly dig and pee in the plant dirt. Anyway, my dad is really strict about the cats, and everyone hates it.
Does anyone have advice on what I could do to help them? They are happy cats, but I would just like them to have more freedom around the house. I don't know why the kittens would pee anywhere else, they always have access to their box.
Thank you!
