Dad cheated now i have a half brother?

I just found out that my dad cheated on my mom and that i have a half brother thats a year younger than me i'm 15. My dad didnt know about him until his mom called a month ago and they finally got the paternity test results back. I'm pissed off at him and i really don't care if i meet my brother or not and now my mom wants a divorce. Right know i'm having a really hard time dealing with it and i was wondering if any1 thinks its wrong that i wish my halfbrothers mother never told my dad or the fact that i dont care to meet him.

Well that's how you feel. My dad cheated on my mom and had a son who is 14 years younger than me. He is now married to my half-brother's mother. No matter how much I try he doesn't feel like my brother. He feels like my father's son whom he had with another woman.

No, I don't think what you're feeling is wrong.  If you ever do meet the half-sib, though, try to remind yourself that this is in no way his fault.  The crappy behaviour happened before he was born and he's as much a victim of it as you are.

It is natural that you feel the way you do about wishing that your ( Half brother's Mom ) should have not told your Dad about her having his out side child.  Don't be hard on your self or crawl into self pity as you are not to blame for what is happening.

There must have been Good times between your Mom and Dad and for reason (Unknown ) this half brother came out as a result of cheating.. You will have a hard time dealing with the divorce if some form of reconciliation can't come to play. It is like moments like those ( unfortunately ) we know the true character of people; as well as our friends and those that were never for us in the first place.
