  1. don,t think about bank CD    go with equity mutual funds

  2. I'd have to see one. post a link

  3. It really depends on what you mean by "legit or not."

If you mean, is it a real newsletter offering real advice, yes, in that manner it's legitimate.

But I suspect your question may really be, "is this GOOD advice."  Another question altogether.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to know the answer to "was that a good idea" until months or years after each newsletter has been published.

Notice David M. says "Let's see, they're promoting gold AFTER it's run up to nearly $1,000 an ounce."  Interesting, in a newsletter that advertises itself as "contrarian"--which means going against the general trend.

I agree with David M. that it's best to be cautious.  In my experience, I've never seen an investing newsletter whose advice I would want to follow over time.  Once in a while, one might hit it lucky on an idea, but that's about it.

But are they legit?  Well, sure, they're real newsletters.

  4. Let's see, they're promoting gold AFTER it's run up to nearly $1,000 an ounce. They also are promoting these scam 801(k) plans. I wouldn't call the website a scam necessarily, but I'd be very cautious on their advice and probably wouldn't pay for the services.
