Daily and Extended Wear Contact Lenses?

I've got both Acuvue Moist Dailies and Acuvue Oasys Extended Wear (2 weeks).

I find that most mornings when I wake up my eyes are really red, and a bit itchy.

There is a little bit of discharge but the doctor said it's not an infection.... just normal.

So I wash my eyes and try to put my Acuvue Oasys lenses in, that have been in ReNu solution, but my eyes instantly reject them, and they go very bloodshot and dry, until I take it out.

Afterwards if I put Dailies in such as Acuvue Moist it's perfect!

But I have just taken my dailies out to try the extended wear lenses and they have gone in perfectly!!! =)

But every morning I have the same issue, but it's fine later on in the day after I've had dailies in, this is really not a good situation for me =(

Anyone else face the same issues?

Have you seen the doctor? Perhaps its dry eyes? I just got home from my opthamologist, I have been experience stinging and burning and right eye is blurry with my contacts. I wear Bausch and Laumb (sp???) 2 weeks. He thinks I have dry eyes and that the protein is building up in the right eye. He gave me drops, Optive, that have less preservatives in them than other brands and says this helps. I believe there are also some drops preservative free.

It sounds as if you have a slight allergy to the lenses you're having trouble with. If the Acuvue ones work better for you, then stick with the Acuvue lenses. It sounds as if they're better for your eyes anyway.
