Dainty Tiger all set to claim the Summer 700 Maiden
Dainty Tiger looks in good shape to claim the Summer 700 Maiden at Mildenhall in England on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, where the Grade OR winner will receive £100 in prize money.
Speed will not matter much in the 700 metres race, which is scheduled to start at 21:30 GMT. Keeping that in mind, the best chances of victory appear to be with Dainty Tiger, who has got an extremely good stamina.
The R. York’s trainee has got plenty of experience, and he has been running quite regularly at Mildenhall recently. His performances in the shorter distance events have been a touch inconsistent, but he has managed to deliver decent results in races over 500 metres.
There is one thing, which will discourage the punters from risking money on Dainty Tiger, and that is his good performances have been few and far between. He will need to win more consistently in order to get the attention of the bookies.
However, the black dog was victorious in his most recent run, which will definitely give some hope to his fans at Mildenhall. He was not rated as favourite back then, but was still given pretty decent odds by the bookmakers.
Breaking into the race from trap number one, Dainty Tiger covered the distance of 700 metres in 45.77 seconds.
He was pretty much in control of the proceedings right from the start until the end, and managed to win by more than one-length. If he gets a clear run, he will definitely trouble his opponents today.
On the other hand, the bookmakers have given the best odds to young runner, Cals Vagrant, who does not have a lot of experience at this level. He has participated in just a couple of Grade OR events, but has proved to be quite competitive in them.
However, the C. Finch’s trained hound has not managed to win in this class, which will create a doubt in the minds of the bettors. He took part in a T2 event recently, and performed extremely well in it.
Despite that, it will be a big challenge for, Cals Vagrant, to fight at the front against the likes of Dainty Tiger.
