Dakota or Addison for a girl?

I'm not a fan of either name but of the two i'd have to say Addison.

Dakota is actually a Native American tribe (large group made up of many smaller tribes) and they take GREAT offense to people using that name w/out tribal permission. it's disrespectful.

Dakota is way too over used these days. I have always liked Addison. So my choice for a girl between Dakota and Addison is Addison, Very nice name.

Also what about Michaela, Cheyenne, Lily, Cameron (it is a boys name and I usually am against boys names for girls but I have exceptions for Cameron, Addison) and Jordan.

They are both masculine names. Especially Addison. It means "son of Adam". Dakota is ok, but a little blah. The only Dakota I know is a boy.

Addison, it's a beautiful sophisticated name but on the other hand, i wouldn't name my child anything that other kids are going to be cruel to her with.  Childhood is hard enough without being named after a state.
