He successfully mobilized the world media attacking China; He organized Olympic torch boycott in Britain, France, San Francisco. All leaders in France, Germany, Canada, US, came out denouncing China and vow to boycotting Beijing Olympic games.

Now Dalai goes to Jordan for Nobel Peace Laureates, which was designed to bring Palestinian into issue. What is the chance for Dalai to bring Palestinian issue into World attention? Will he be successful in mobilize the world to condemn Israel ?

  1. How much more attention does this c**p need?

Let us see how this cease fire plays out.  Put your spotlight there.

  2. Hi sense

You see I already answered your question

  3. I believe he will show the plight of the Palestinian people, anyone who advocates peace and human rights must point out the injustice done to humans in order for the world to understand exactly what is needed in order for there to be peace.

I also believe he is going there to try to bring a little hope for peace to end the war. Peace always.

  4. He's been to the area before. He has said he has a lot of respect for Jews for retaining their identity despite generations of exile. Without a doubt he would condemn many of Israel's actions, as well as those of the Palestinians, but if you really think he's suddenly going to mobilize world opinion against its only Jewish state then perhaps you should better examine the Palestinians' liberation tactics. They hardly fall under the "non violent" category that he encourages and is respected for.

  5. Hello sense,

Dalai Lama is not scoring any points with Israelis by discussing Israeli issues with Jordan.  What I do hope he will be able to do is convince all Muslims who live in Judea and Samaria and do not support Israel and do not have Israeli passports to pack their stuff and get absorbed by Muslim countries.

That way, they will never again have to complain about living in "occupied" territory.  They will realize that it is they who are occupying, not Israel.

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Miche ; })

  6. That Lama guy is all right. I wish I had a summer camp site in Tibet. He has a big brain. About time to put a spotlight on that d**n mess in the desert.

  7. That is a trick question because there is already a spotlight on the Palestinian issue. Do you really think there isn't? That shocks me. Everyone in the civilized world know about the conflict.

Some have been told only the lies that their government and/or religious leaders wants them to hear. Others have heard both sides. Some choose to believe one side no matter what the facts are. Some choose the other side no matter what the facts are.

Where did you get the information about those leading countries that you said are going to boycott the Olympics? That is totally untrue. At this point, it appears there will be no significant boycotts. The Olympics should not be politicized, it spoils the very reason for them.

The U.S. did that a few decades ago. The USSR then did that the next time to punish the U.S. for theirs. Both sides were wrong for what they did.

  8. Jordan mistreats the Palestinians, so it is highly unlikely he will bring up Jordans treat of them unless he wants to get kicked out of Jordan

  9. I don't think that is the reason for his trip, he visited Israel a few years back saying "I admire the Jewish people of this land".

    He also said

"I want to take this opportunity, and also my appeal to Hamas, now through violent way it won't solve, it won't achieve what it wants," he said in halting English. He called for "mutual respect" and urged the group to approach the situation "more realistically."

    And

The Dalai Lama on Wednesday urged Hamas to renounce violence

I think he has not changed his mind.

He had the world media backing him against China, China a country with a population of 2 billion attacking his people,  Tibet, Same here, 2 billion Muslims doing their best to do away with 6 million.
