Dale JR's Crew Chief..Tony Eury Jr..what he did wrong??

Do you think that he made a bad call for Jr and cost him the race or at least a top 5???

As has been stated in several questions already, Eury Jr made a boneheaded move by not calling Jr into the pits.

As for Jr dropping two spots in the points: WHO CARES? He is comfortably in the top 12, and in 4 more races, the points will be reset. As Kyle Busch said before the race, 2nd through 43rd are the same. This goes for all of the drivers in the top 4 or 5. They would have to finish last the next 4 races to not finish in the top 12. So, where you are after Richmond doesnt matter, as long as you are in the top 12... It is all about the wins now...

well that would depend on weather your on Dales team or against him. You could see Tony's disbelief on camera and I would love to be a fly on the wall after the race during debreif in the hauler with Rick...

Horrible call!! Tony Jr.'s first clue should have been that he was the ONLY one left out there that had not pitted. HELLO! His second clue should have been the one second he was losing per lap!

He had a top 3 car. What a shame!

Yes, BAD CALL, god I'm so pissed I can't see straight right now. I can not understand why he did what he did, I think he flunked Hendrick 101. I'm sure this will be discussed on Monday at HMS big time...  he is 4th in the points..OMG, I can't handle this..

Don't blame Tony Eury Jr.  That's what happens when you got a crappy driver, you got to gamble and use a pit strategy for a chance to win.  This time his gamble didn't work out.  You know he can't count on Dale to get it done on the track.

yeah... i think he should have called him in 2 laps earlier or made him stay out... 5 laps was what junior was sort on, with all these caution laps junior could have made it and i know he didnt know that then and he was probably scared because last week he told him to stay out and lost him a bunch of position... but he should have stayed out i think... and take a chance because it is easier to save gas here

wannabe genius got it right. when you have a crappy driver like jr. the pit crew has to win the race for him. thats why jr. won his one and only race this year because of pit strategy. jr.sucks and its time for the jr. nation to admit it.

Bad Call and he will have to live with it.  That was a bit costly putting Junior back to 4th in points.  But the way the chase is structured it shouldn't make a difference.

Absolutely BAD call....Junior could have had this one. Eury Jr. needs to go back to NATIONWIDE and leave the crew chief duties to his daddy. Junior should have left him at DEI.

Horrible call.  He was running the pit strategy like an oval.  You need to stop as soon as you can make it to the end on road courses.
