Liverpool’s boss, Kenny Dalglish cautioned his side not to get over excited after their win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 in the semi-final of the FA Cup, and to maintain their focus in the game against West Bromwich Albion.
The Reds will take on the Baggies in a Premier League game on Sunday, which will also mark the return of the former Liverpool manager, Roy Hodgson to Anfield.
Dalglish’s side, have witnessed a season of mixed fortunes, but have enjoyed stupendous success in the domestic cup competitions. Andy Carroll fired his side to the FA Cup final with a late header against the Toffees, with the Reds having already engraved
Liverpool’s name on the league cup trophy in February.
However, the Scott called upon his side to come out of their Cup euphoria, and to set their sights on the remaining league games this season.
"It's now a case of getting ourselves back down to earth after Wembley," Dalglish told reporters.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 at Anfield, a week after their league cup triumph. The 61 year old believed that his side had played wonderfully against the Gunners despite losing, and felt that they needed to come up with the same response.
Talking about the game against West Brom on the weekend, he admitted that the Baggies were in good form having won two of their last three games.
However, he remained hopeful that Hodgson will receive a warm reception upon his return to Anfield.
"It will be good to see Roy Hodgson come back to Anfield,” he said.
"I'm sure he'll get a good reception. Things didn't go as well as he or the fans would have liked when he was here, but he still deserves a good welcome.”
The former Fulham boss took over the reins of Liverpool in July 2010, after signing a three year contract with the team. However, his post came under scrutiny after a string of poor results, which saw the Reds crash down to their lowest point tally since
1953/54. He resigned from his post in January 2011 after being in-charge for just 31 games, to make way for Dalglish.
He was appointed as the manager by the Baggies only a month later.
The Scott underlined that both the teams will go into the game with a different background, and his side needed to gain a maximum out of their three games, before the FA Cup final against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
“Teams respond in different ways at this stage of the season. We can't let their situation affect us, we have to just concentrate on our own game and producing our best."
