Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish thinks that the clubs prioritize their Premier League campaign over the domestic English cups, a factor which has depreciated the knock out competitions.
Even though the Scott acknowledged his side’s failure in the league, he stressed the importance of winning the domestic cups, and believed that they need to be taken into consideration while evaluating their season’s performance.

The Reds underwent a bruising league campaign this season, which saw them slide down to as low as eighth in the table. However, Dalglish’s side have done exceptionally well in the English cups. Earlier in February, they beat Cardiff City in the final of

He also praised his side for their phenomenal run in the Carling Cup and FA Cup, and believed that it was an indication of the intensity shown by his side in all the competitions.
“It is a fantastic day out for everyone and is great reward for the efforts and commitment of the players and the respect we have paid to the competition.” He added.

have got to try to win.”
The Scott went on to say that the Reds accomplishments in the current season will present a better reading if they went on to complete a cup-double, despite their failure to qualify for the Champions League next season.
He remarked, “The season will be assessed when it's finished.”
