Dalglish hails Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll’s partnership – EPL News
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has hailed the attacking partnership of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez and is confident that the Reds duo will go on to form a lethal attacking partnership in the Barclays Premier League.
Both Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll joined Liverpool in the January 2011 transfer window. Suarez completed his transfer to the Merseyside club after hugely impressing for the Dutch Champions, Ajax, in the last few seasons.
However, Andy Carroll was signed in the last minutes of the transfer window following the sale of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
The duo have had contrasting starts to life at the Anfield club. Suarez was an immediate hit as the Uruguayan went on to help Dalglish’s side finish sixth in the league standings, despite their poor start to the campaign last season. The former Ajax attacker
continued his impressive form this season and has already racked seven goals and six assists in all competitions.
Contrary to that, Carroll clearly struggled during his first six months at Liverpool. The English striker was injured when he completed his move from Newcastle United. It took him three months to regain his full fitness, however, the 22-year-old failed to
emulate his goalscoring form for the Reds, as he scored only two goals in all competitions last season.
The Englishman started the current season impressively and it seems like Carroll is to regain his goalscoring form.
Carroll and Suarez were very impressive in Liverpool’s last outing against West Bromwich Albion, in which the Uruguayan assisted Carroll for the second goal of the match.
Dalglish believes that the partnership is flourishing and added, “For us, it is important there are relationships and partnerships within the team. Andy and Luis are just one of the partnerships and the more they train and play together, the better the understanding
will be.
“That also applies to most of the players that have come in. The more time they spend here and together, the better their understanding will be. So far we've been delighted with the progress they've made,” the Merseyside boss concluded.
