Liverpool’s Kenny Dalglish has admitted that the upcoming Merseyside derby between his side and Everton is massive for both the teams and the result of the game could impact the remainder of the season for both the teams.
Going into the game, the Reds are on a three game losing streak and another defeat could see http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 leap the team and take over the seventh spot in the league.
Dalglish is well aware of this fact and has gone on to admit that there is no room for errors at this point in the season, as the manager hopes for the team to go on and prove just how good they are.
The Reds boss is quoted to have said:  “It is a massive game, like any derby is for any club involved in one.”
"We know how much enjoyment the people get out of winning the game but the players get a lot of enjoyment out of it also.”
"The winners get to enjoy it. You get the bragging rights for the city but both clubs come straight out of that into two FA Cup quarter-final ties so you don't get much time to rest on your laurels - and you wouldn't want to either."
The manager also believes that the game between the two teams is going to be a highly contested game and that neither one of the two teams should even consider going easy on each other.
“The derbies are perhaps more frantic and hectic but they will still be competitive.”
"It will always be competitive but it is not malicious - and if it is not competitive you have a problem.”
Despite http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 winning the Carling Cup this season, the team has failed to really prove just how good they are in the league. The team’s performances have been rather poor and it seems like they just might not be able to do anything worthwhile before
the season comes to an end.
Nonetheless, a win in their derby game is bound to give them a massive confidence boost and could help them see out the season on a high.
