Liverpool versus Manchester United in the FA Cup is the match that is on everyone’s lips and Red’s manager is hoping their 12th man can make a difference.
Saying that sparks fly whenever Liverpool and Manchester United meet on the footballing pitch would be a massive understatement as one might as well call it a mini-war.
The two sides rarely leave the pitch without a few goals or cards being issued and are more often than not the most entertaining matches on offer.
The FA Cup will be the latest title the two sides will be looking to get themselves in a better position of winning and get bragging rights over their neighbours as well. It would be hard to deny that home support plays a huge role in matches such as these and it is something that Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is ensuring will be at its deafening best come the match.
The manager praised the conduct and support of the fans against Manchester City in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final and hoped for more of the same against the other club from Manchester.
He said, “The supporters were magnificent. They kept the players going, and the players kept them going.
They were both helped each other.”
Dalglsh praised his side’s performance against the cash rich club and was of the opinion that a similar performance against United would see them in a better postion of progressing in the FA Cip.
“Over the two legs we were certainly the better side and we deserved to go through.
We just need everybody to be at the same level on and off the pitch on Saturday.”
However, even the manager will be aware of how frail the defence looked when City managed to attack. On the other hand Liverpool were a constant threat to City’s goal and if it was not for an inspired performance by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 may very well have run away with the match by a margin of three goals.
All eyes will be on Anfield come tomorrow’s clash between Liverpool and Manchester United and Dalglish, at least, is counting on home support making the difference come kick off.
