Dallas Cowboys DC Rob Ryan praises Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy, QB Michael Vick – NFL News
Although Dallas Cowboys have one of the best defensive lines this season, defensive coordinator Rob Ryan has acknowledged that his defensemen need to do exceptionally well to beat their National Football Conference (NFC) East rivals Philadelphia Eagles in
Week 10 game on Sunday.
Ryan is of the view that Eagles’ LeSean McCoy is the best running back in the entire National Football League (NFL) and their quarterback Michael Vick a “super-talented guy”.
According to the details present on Cowboys’ website, Ryan said of McCoy:
“I think he’s tremendous. He’s so talented. He’s got vision everywhere.”
McCoy has been playing with Eagles after starting his NFL career in 2009 and got the starting role soon after his rookie season.
After his rookie season, the running back had a couple of seasons with 1,000 or more yards and now it is looking like he will get another season with 1,000 or more yards. In eight games this season, McCoy has rushed for a total of 623 yards.
Meanwhile, Vick, who is otherwise a very good player, has struggled badly this season. He has thrown a number of interceptions and has been sacked many times.
Vick has completed a total of 179 passes of 307 attempts this season for 2,095 yards. Vick has scored 10 passing touchdowns, thrown nine interceptions and got sacked 27 times.
Ryan said of Vick:
“I’m surprised every time he’s brought down. Another super-talented guy. This is the most talented team in football.”
The Cowboys were defeated by the Eagles last season as well. After the season, Ryan took the blame of failures on defence, but he has worked hard this offseason to prepare a good team.
Ryan has somewhat succeeded in preparing a strong defence, but the game against Eagles will further test the strength of Ryan’s defence. Ryan said:
“It took me a while to learn this NFC East, but we’ll see if all the work we’ve done in the offseason up until now will pay off.”
He said of the last season:
“I think the Giants and the Eagles had their way with us. A lot of that was me not knowing the league. But I know the league now.”
