Dallas Cowboys face daunting task of outclassing Baltimore Ravens – NFL News
Dallas Cowboys’ performance this season has been mediocre so far. They have shown good display on offence as well and defence, but inconsistency has hurt them bad.
They have won two of their four games and are placed at third spot in National Football Conference (NFC) East, behind Philadelphia Eagles and defending Super Bowl champions New York Giants.
They did not play any game in Week 5 and will take on Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.
Currently on a three-game winning streak, Ravens have won four of their five games and are leading American Football Conference (AFC) North.
A plus point for Ravens this season is that their offence has also been performing exceptionally well, while the defence, as usual, seems dominant on the opponents.
Cowboys realise that they face a daunting task of beating Ravens and some experts have even predicted that the latter will emerge victorious in next week’s game.
Whatever the result comes out, Cowboys have also acknowledged that Ravens pose a serious threat to them and their position in NFC East.
According to the details present on the team’s website, Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr has said that Ravens have a powerful offence in presence of players like Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith. Carr said:
“This will be a good test for us. You have him, the physical receiver, and Torrey Smith, a guy who can stretch the field. You’ve kind of got the best of both worlds over there. You know, it’s a great challenge for us.”
Carr said of Ravens offensive line:
“I see a young guy with a lot of speed that can get downfield and a quarterback that can get the ball to him. He outruns most defenders, even when they’re head up.”
Cowboys defence has not been as impressive as it was thought before the start of the season. As they prepare to face Ravens, they must improve their performance in all departments to stand a chance of winning the game. Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears
has predicted a physical matchup. He said:
“That’s their style. Big (offensive) line, like they’ve always had. Ray Rice is probably one of the top backs in the league. It’s a lot to defend.”
