Dallas Cowboys gets defeated 31-38 by Washington Redskins - Week 12 Recap
Dallas Cowboys lost by 31-38 against Washington Redskins in Week 12 game on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, TX.
The rivals of National Football Conference (NFC) East were fighting for the 2nd position in the division. Redskins gave their best performance in the first half by scoring four touchdowns.
In the first quarter, Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey kicked a 30-yard field goal and took lead by 3-0. In the beginning of the second quarter, quarterback Robert Griffin III threw a 68-yard pass to wide receiver Aldrick Robinson and took the lead to 7-3.
At 7:00, Redskins running back Alfred Morris rushed towards the end zone and scored a touchdown.
Griffin got second chance to throw a pass to wide receiver Pierre Garcon for 59 yards, the throw was not accurate but Garcon managed to catch it and scored a touchdown, taking the lead to 21-3.
On this reception of Garcon, Griffin said:
"As Pierre is running on his long touchdown, and I was like, 'Man, that was a great catch’. I had to throw it to only that spot, and you don't see many guys make catches like that."
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo threw a couple of interceptions, allowing the Redskins to dominate the field. At 00:05 in the second quarter, wide receiver Santana Moss caught a 6-yard pass from Griffin and scored a touchdown for an amazing 28-3 lead.

Griffin said:
"I told the guys that was probably the drive that saved our season. You have a huge lead, the other team's roaring back, they have all the momentum, and then you go out there and you convert third down after third down after third down and get in field-goal
range."
In the third quarter, Cowboys made a comeback as Bailey kicked a 33-yard field goal and gained three points.
Romo threw an 85-yard pass to wide receiver Dez Bryant who scored the first touchdown for the Cowboys and took the score to 13-28.

Redskins and Cowboys are 5-6 each now.
