Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett praises Baltimore Ravens – NFL News
Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has appreciated the Baltimore Ravens, who are going to host Cowboys in Week 6 game.
Cowboys have played four games so far in the season. They have won and lost two games respectively and are not scheduled to play a game this weekend.
After their bye week, Cowboys will face one of the toughest opponents of the league and Garrett is well aware of Ravens’ stature.
Ravens have been consistently qualifying for playoffs since the last few years and their chances of securing a playoff berth this year are very much bright as well. Furthermore, they are also considered favourites by some experts to win the Super Bowl.
Even if Ravens do not qualify for the playoffs or not get a shot at the title, there is no denying that they pose serious threat to the Cowboys, who are still struggling to gain rhythm.
Furthermore, Ravens have an outstanding defensive unit that has been receiving a lot of help from the offence this year, something that is not often seen.
With the right balance struck between offence and defence, Ravens will also have the home-field advantage against Cowboys.
This all has sent alarm bells ringing for Cowboys and Garrett knows his team has to prepare well to beat Ravens.
According to the details present on Cowboys’ official website, Garrett said of Ravens:
“They’ve had a track record of winning there for a number of years. They’ve been very successful. When I was playing with the Giants in 2000, we played them in the Super Bowl. Since that time, they’ve been one of the best franchises in football.”
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is also among the best coaches while they also have services of some veterans, making the side even stronger. Garrett said:
“They’re really well coached, and they’ve got a lot of good players. You think about Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and those guys, those are marquee players, those are first-ballot Hall of Famers, the best players at their position of their generation. Those guys
have been the leaders there for a long time. They do things the right way.”
