Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo recovers from rib injury – NFL News
Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo is believed to have fully recovered from his rib injury and is ready for the showdown in the game.
Romo had suffered a fractured rib at San Francisco nearly two months ago. He had been wearing a protective jacket during the last six games and was being injected painkillers regularly.
As the latest he said that he had fully recovered. ""We haven't had an X-ray here in a while but it was healing properly," Romo said. "We basically came to the conclusion [that] it's good."
Romo's claim about the recovery came to coincide with the fact that he had not been given the pain killing injection during their game against Seattle last week. He now is said to be weighing to play without his protective jacket,
which he has been using for the last six consecutive games.
He added that he was also thinking to replace his protective jacket with the light protective jacket during their game against Buffalo. However, he said, has not made a final decision on it.
The quarterback seemed to be happy in his previous game. He admitted he had felt better than previous games since his injury. Since opening of the seasons, he has had two touchdown passes that went with 279 yards. Another good
development for him is that he has not been sacked for the first time during the current seasons, that may be because he was extra careful because of his injury.
He had suffered the injury in their games at San Francisco on September 18 and has played as many as six games since. In initial games he did not feel comfortable about his play despite that he had been taking pain killing injections
regularly and had played with protective stuff to prevent him from further injuries.
Another injury setback for Romo came when he had been diagnosed with punctured lung. He was out of practice for initial period leading up to Washington Redskins game. However, later participated in the practice sessions regularly
and has participated in the last six games. Despite his claims of full recovery, he was still on the injured report list.
