Dallas Cowboys set to host Washington Redskins - NFL Week 12 Preview
Dallas Cowboys are going to host their National Football Conference (NFC) East rivals Washington Redskins in Week 12 game on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, TX.
Cowboys have won their last two games. At 5-5, they are ranked 2nd in NFC East.
Their last victory against Cleveland Browns was tough. Browns took lead in first and second quarters and Cowboys made a comeback in third quarter.
Quarterback Tony Romo completed 35 of 50 passes for 313 yards and scored one touchdown for quarterback rating of 93.2.
The game which was looking one-sided in the beginning of the fourth quarter got tied by 20-20, but in overtime Dan Bailey kicked a 38-yard field goal to win the game.
Cowboys have lost a few closed games this season; it was only Seattle Seahawks who managed to outclass them in Week 2 game.
Romo is trying to play well, but he has scored 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions throughout this season.
Talking about the game against Redskins, Cowboys’ head coach Jason Garrett said:
"We are going to enjoy this one for another 10 minutes or so and then get on to the Redskins."
According to him Redskins’ quarterback Robert Griffin III has been leading the offence with his amazing performance.
He added:
"(The Redskins) are certainly playing different offensive football than they've played in the past because of RG3 being their quarterback,We certainly have to do our best to get on top of what they're trying to get done. They've certainly been very impressive
at different times and they do a variety of things, and we've got to make sure we can contain him."
On the other hand, Redskins have made a comeback with a victory after their bye week against Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11.
Griffin scored four touchdowns and helped his team to outclass the Eagles with 31-6 score. Griffin completed 14 of 15 passes for 200 yards.
Improvement in his performance can be seen easily, everyone is stunned with his performance and he can certainly give tough time to the Cowboys.
Throughout this season he has scored 12 touchdowns with three interceptions, completed 186 of 277 passes for 2,193 yards.
Before the bye week they lost three games in a streak. Now they are 4-6 and ranked 3rd in NFC East.
