Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten wants his team to win all remaining games – NFL News
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten wants his team to win all three remaining games of the regular season.
According to Cowboys’ website, Witten shared his views about how much important it is to win all games for the team.
According to him, all three games are really important for them, and they have to win so as to get a chance to lead National Football Conference (NFC) East.
He said:
“We’ve got to win them all. It’s that easy. You don’t look any further than that.”
He mentioned that the Cowboys always concentrate on one game at a time, which is good as they can prepare well for the opposing team.
Witten said:
“We’ve been saying that for the last two weeks, just take it one game at a time. I think circumstances have kind of made you do that.”
Meanwhile, Witten also reflected on head coach Jason Garrett’s message of focusing only on the team’s own performance. The tight end maintained that it was a good idea not to think of other teams.
Witten said:
“This league’s too tough to try to play (and think) ‘what did New York do today?’ And I’m sure they’re not worried about us either. That’s our mindset and it’s got to be that way.”
Cowboys are going to play their next game against Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) on Sunday, December 16.
After that they will play Week 16 and 17 games against New Orleans Saints and Washington Redskins respectively.
Cowboys have won seven and lost six games in this season, and they are tied with the Redskins at second spot in NFC East.
Both teams are playing really well. Redskins defeated Cowboys by 38-31, in their first meeting in Week 12 at Cowboys Stadium.
Cowboys have won their last two games and Redskins have won their last four games. Both teams are playoff contenders.
In this critical situation, Cowboys’ wide receiver Dez Bryant has fractured his index finger and his status for this weekend’s game is uncertain.
