Dallas Mavericks’ Caron Butler and Memphis Grizzlies’ Rudy g*y plan to make a comeback: NBA Update
Dallas Mavericks’ forward Caron Butler and Memphis Grizzlies’ forward Rudy g*y are planning to make a successful comeback next season after the duo experienced a long absence from basketball court due to injuries. Both stars were
injured in the last regular season and could not represent their teams in the post season/playoffs. However, the players have recovered from their respective injures and are rearing to have a go.
Rudy g*y, who had a left shoulder surgery six months back is now fully healed and will be playing in the upcoming training camps, if started on time. His doctor James Andrews had declared him 100 percent fit a few days back.
Speaking to media, g*y recently said, “I've been shooting for about 2½ months now. Shooting and dribbling and trying to see if I can play some games soon, it’s a surgery, so I'm always going to feel a little different. It's getting
back. It's no weaker. It's getting stronger.”
Caron Butler had a knee surgery in the postseason and now he is also looking in great shape. He will be featuring in a game on Saturday with the Goodman League. This will be his first court appearance after he broke his knee earlier
in the 2010-2011 season.
Both players have relatively good experience in the league. g*y has played almost five years in the National Basketball Association (NBA) whereas Butler has been playing in the league for last nine years.
Though, Caron Butler is an unrestricted free agent this offseason but the Mavericks management would not let him go anywhere else in the league. He is very aggressive player and has some great basketball skills. Before hurting
himself in the last regular season, he played total 29 games for the Mavericks and averaged 15.0 points, 4.10 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
However, Rudy g*y played total 54 games for the Memphis Grizzlies and averaged 19.8 points, 6.20 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game when his left shoulder got injured. After a successful surgery, he is feeling confident and planning
to make a successful comeback. The return of g*y would certainly make the Grizzlies roster stronger next season.
At the moment, the league is locked out and until the lock out is not lifted from the players, there will be no game in the league. The NBA owners and the Players Association have met several times so far but both parties have
yet to make decision on the future of the next season. The league owners want to add some new clauses in the new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) which are not acceptable to the players association.
