Dallas Stars wins 4-3 against Anaheim Ducks while on the road at Ducks’ home – NHL Updates

Anaheim Ducks played host to Dallas Stars at the Honda Center this past Sunday. The game was important for both teams, fighting for the playoffs. Ducks is in the cut and looking to maintain its seventh spot while Stars is at the 10th spot and
looking to close the gap on eighth placed Chicago Blackhawks.
The game started off with both teams on target from the very first shot on goal. Ducks scored the opening goal with a brilliant strike but Stars was not far behind.
Stars with some explosive play scored twice over the course of the period to get into the lead. The continuous attacks saw Ducks scoring once again to level the scores at the end of the first period.
The second period saw Dallas laying down the hammer as it scored twice to get into a decent position.
Ducks also scored a goal at the death of the period that left it trailing by a single goal.
The final period saw significant shots on goal by both teams but there were no goals as the game ended with Stars winning by 4-3.
The star of the game was Corey Perry in light of the two goals he scored and an assist he came up with.
The offence met the expectations at the start and it was Ducks who scored the opening goal in the eighth minute to get into the lead. The goal was scored by Ryan Getzlaf from a powerful strike.
Stars was no far behind in this offensive battle that saw them scoring in the 11th minute through Jeff Woywitka to level the scores. Dallas showed its productivity with another goal in the 18th minute through Mike Ribeiro.
The lead didn’t last long as Ducks scored in the very next minute through Lubomir Visnovsky to level the scores. The period ended with the scores level on 2-2 as Ducks made nine shots on goal while Stars made 12 shots on goal.
The second period saw Stars attacking from the start which resulted in Dallas scoring in the eighth minute through Brenden Morrow’s brilliant powerful long range shot to get into the lead.
Stars continued on the dominating roads and scored once again in the 16th minute through Ribeiro’s backhand shot to double its lead.
Anaheim was successful in scoring a goal as well through Corey Perry’s backhand shot to cut the lead to a single goal.
The period ended with Stars leading by 4-3, making 13 shots on goal while Ducks made six shots on goal.
The final period began with Ducks coming up with shots on goal but none of the shots found the back of the net. In fact several shots by both sides didn’t find the back of the net.
The period and the game ended with the Stars winning 4-3 in the end.
