Dallas or Austin, where in Texas would you go?

I'm single and in my early 20's and might be forced to evacuate for the hurricane. Me and a group of friends are trying to decide between Dallas and Austin. Which place would be more fun us?

dallas is near arlington so you can go to six flags, hurricane harbor, the ball park, football stadium etc.

there are also many nice shopping malls near dallas too if your friends like to shop. (i live in dallas, its pretty hot but you'll get used to it.)

austin has more monumental sites. i really dont know whats there but it should be pretty nice.

AUSTIN!!! LIVE MUSIC CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!!!!!! PLUS ITS SMALLER AND CLEANER THAN DALLAS, WHICH IS LIKE EVERY OTHER BIG CITY IN THE WORLD!!!

Without a doubt you want to go to Austin. I live in San Antonio and have been to both quite a few times. Austin is going to be alot more fun. It's more liberal and youth oriented. 6th street is a blast especially if your going to be here through halloween. College is starting back up so the town is full of things to do.

I would go to Austin.  Great night life and not as expensive as Dallas.  Plus, the people in Austin are much more laid back and fun.  Dallas is too stuffy for me.
