  1. Dallmayrs is worth to visit and look for all that good stuff.I think its to expensive, save your money and go out to another place, ask people from Munich where to go. Dont trap in a touristtrap!!

  2. I've never had the opportunity to travel to Germany.  I have a friend who was stationed in Germany while in the Army.  I will send her an email and get back to you.

  3. I think dinner and lunch are overpriced, as the usual breakfast is, too. My friend, who lives in Munich, has gone there for Brunch on Saturday, which she really enjoyed. She also said it was reasonably priced for all the things on the buffet. (Fresh rolls warm from the oven, smoked salmon, eggs, croisants...). You paid like 12 or 13 Euros, which is only one or two Euros more than you would in any other place that offers brunch.

Brunch is only on Saturday, though, and you need to reservate or you will never get in. Also, my friend said the atmosphere there isn't quite what it was before they remodelled.

Oh, and my friend is a student, so if she thinks it wasn't overpriced...  Well, if you go, be sure to check out the market someone mentioned. It is really worth seeing!

    Have fun in Germany!

  4. The whole place is quite an experience.  If you can spare the time, do so.  I was there just once, but it was worth every penny (and it DID cost a few).

  5. I have been there 2 times. Once for dinner and for Breakfast(German style, rolls, cheeses, coldcuts, hard boiled egg) and I found it over priced and not very welcoming to out of towners and tourists.

The shops on the ground floor that sell coffee and all kinds of special foods is worth a look see. Since it is near all the other 'Must See' sights in central Munich you are really not going out of your way.

But not far from there, maybe a 10 minute walk is the market area of Munich that sells fresh produce, flowers, meats, cheeses, fish, etc, plus lots of stands that sell all types of food and drinks, yes even beer. There are plenty of places to sit, especially on a nice sunny day. Whenever I am in Munich and the weather is decent I head over there.
