Dam that backslash

Question

When I turn on my computer the backslash continually repeats it self on the screen. It does not appear to be stuck .When I press it it does not print, but when I let go, it prints continually. Print -I mean the screen is full of backslashes. Not literally printing on my printer. Help Diane
