Damaged washing Machine!!?

Hi All I have had a delivery of my new washing machine on Friday - upon unpacking it from all its box etc I come to see that there are quite a lot of scratches .... Am I able to send it back and have a refund? Also, am I able to use it until they collect it as I have no washing machine now! Thanks

Do not use the machine if you plan to send it back for scratches.  My guess is they will swap for a new unit.  Refund???  Depends on the return policy of the place you bought it.  DEFINATELY do not use it if you hope to get a refund.  

Also, if you have the packing materials and the box still, put it all back together.

yes you could do but the grief of doing it may not be worth it and you shouldnt use it if you decide to get the money back , your best bet is if damage is on sides or not too bad then just tell the company that you are not happy and demand some form of compensation or tell them that you want it replaced and that you will use that one in the meantime until they replace it .

You can have them collect it but you can't use it in the interim period.

Sure you can send it back and get a refund or a replacement. Contact the firm and they should stand the cost of collecting and replacing it, I would not use it, as they might say you had scratched it.
