The Senegalese striker has told the Moscow-based club to train harder for the upcoming Russian Premier League tie if they want to get something out of the fixture
Current Russian Premier League leaders will try to stretch their three points lead with defending league champions, Zenit St. Petersburg, when they play host to Lokomotiv Moscow in the upcoming league tie at Lokomotiv Moscow on
Sunday.
The Moscow-based face an uphill struggle to reclaim the league title this season, having failed to win the league title last season when they were leapfrogged by Luciano Spalletti’s men in the final round of the Russian Championship.
CSKA managed to win the reverse fixture by a 2-1 score-line back in October. Pontus Wernbloom was the hero of the match as he managed to score an injury-time winner against the Railroaders at Luzhniki stadium.
However, Lokomotiv Moscow’s Dame N’Doye has warned CSKA that they will find it difficult to claim any points this time around. The Senegalese International told them that the Parovozy are playing quality football at the moment
and may spoil their title celebration party.
“CSKA Moscow is a great team, but I can tell you that we have improved after a below par start to the season. We have been unlucky to drop too many points but now everyone knows that Lokomotiv are on the rise. So, we will give
CSKA a tough time on Sunday despite their lead in the championship.”
“Hopefully, the match against CSKA Moscow will be played on fair grounds,” The former Panathinaikos man was quoted as saying.
Speaking on his own form, the 28-year-old striker expressed his desire to score more goals in the years to come.
“I always go out on the field with goals on my mind. After a bad game I get back home and start thinking ways to improve my game,” He concluded.
Going into the crunch league encounter, the Armeytsy will welcome back a host of key players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Keisuke-Honda-c20516. The duo has been out of action since the start of this month after sustaining respective injuries.
