Damien Comolli insists Fernando Torres’ departure has been good for Liverpool

He added that it is better that player’s who do not want to be part of the club leave sooner rather than later.

The Merseyside club then signed Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll from Ajax Amsterdam and Newcastle United respectively, and the decision has proved
to be a handy one so far. Meanwhile, Torres has struggled at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and is yet to score his first goal for the club.
Comolli believes that Liverpool have been better off with the deal as they have signed two world class players and let one go. He said that Torres did not want to be a part of the club and so his departure was a good thing. The Frenchman said that he was
really happy that both Suarez and Carroll have settled well at their new club and are showing their worth with some brilliant performances.
Comolli told the Reds official website, "Getting two players triggered the fact that we could sell one player who didn't want to be here and get two who did want to be here."
Comolli, who was the former European Scout for Arsenal, also admitted that the atmosphere has changed since the new players have come in as they are eager to do their best for the club and win over the fans.
Comolli described this as a new beginning for Liverpool and predicted a very bright future for Suarez and Carroll. He said that the club has to take the positivity forward in the seasons to come.
The Frenchman added, "When you have someone who doesn't want to be here and you swap him for people who want to be here the atmosphere changes. It's like there is a bright new sky with no cloud over our head from the day that happened. So it's been only
positive. That was really a relief for those reasons.”
